Tutela, Inc. Expands Senior Management Team by Hiring Michael Koenig as Chief Financial Officer

BRUNSWICK, GA – Tutela, Inc., a national security systems integration firm, today announced that Michael Koenig has joined the firm as Chief Financial Officer.

With nearly three decades of experience, Koenig specializes in maximizing growth opportunities. He will lead all finance activities including accounting and tax functions, budget planning, stockholder agreements, governance documents, implementation of accounting software, and will play a key role in the firm’s growth initiatives. In addition to overseeing the company’s finances, Koenig will also spearhead the creation of a company-wide wellness program.

Tutela, founded in 2002 by Pharis, continues to grow as a company in the security systems industry. Since 2011, Tutela has almost doubled in their number of employees, and, in September of this year, opened a new office location in Charlotte, North Carolina.

“Steve built Tutela with a strong vision for his company,” said Koenig. “He brought me on to help with his vision of growing a company where customer service and a strong culture for employees comes first.”

Koenig earned a Master of Business Administration degree with a concentration in organizational management and finance from The University of Iowa, Iowa City, IA, and a Bachelors of Business Administration from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, MI. He is an active member of Rotary International and the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA). In his spare time he enjoys playing golf and tennis, and spending time with his wife, Karen, and their three sons.
